Welcome To The Emerging Artisans Program at The Open Studio

Meet Kathy Holt
Emerging Artisans Program Director

Kathryn returned to Florida in 2015 after 20 years in northern Michigan. She has been involved in the arts throughout her life. She enjoys painting with oils, pen and ink drawing, photography, and jewelry making.

Her professional background includes managing the Victorian Summer Gallery on Mackinac Island, Michigan, and operating her own photography business, KB Holt Photography, in Atlanta, Michigan. Since her return to Florida, Kathryn has enjoyed the small-town feel of Englewood, and especially enjoys the arts community at The Open Studio.

The Emerging Artisans Program provides a low-cost venue and support for emerging artisans, musicians, and craftspeople to display, sell, and demonstrate their handcrafted art/wares. Local, up-and-coming artisans will be drawn from as wide a range of artistic and craft styles and techniques as possible.

Held in The Open Studio Gardens, vendors and attendees will interact in a beautiful, lush setting. During the 2016-2017 season, the Program was held on Sundays, from 10:00am to 2:00pm. At present, this very successful program is under review for areas where it can be improved and be even better! Please check back here, and/or watch our newsletters and FaceBook page for details.

We are seeking program vendor participants on an on-going basis. A vendor application for the Emerging Artisans Program is available below. For more information, please contact:
